Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026, v2  ·  Effective immediately upon access
Short version: We collect almost nothing. No accounts, no personal data, no tracking. We count anonymous visits to understand reach. That's it.

1. Who We Are

YNOT.NOW is operated by YNotNow LLC, a limited liability company. When this Privacy Policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it refers to YNotNow LLC. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at: legal@ynot.now

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymised data only:

What Why How long
Anonymous visit count (no IP, no identifier) To understand how many people use the platform Indefinitely — aggregate numbers only
Active session count (approximate concurrency) To display "live now" indicator Session-scoped, not stored permanently

We do not collect:

3. No Accounts, No Forms

YNOT.NOW requires no registration and has no login. We do not have a newsletter sign-up, contact form, or any mechanism for collecting your personal information directly.

The only external action on the Site is a LinkedIn follow link, which is handled entirely by LinkedIn's own platform and privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform:

Service Purpose Data shared
Supabase Database for storing findings and anonymous visitor counts Anonymous aggregate counts only
Vercel Hosting and serverless infrastructure Standard server logs (IP, request path) — retained per Vercel's own policy
Google Fonts Typography (DM Sans, DM Serif Display, DM Mono) Your browser makes a request to Google's CDN; Google may log IP addresses per their own policy
Anthropic API AI agent processing (server-side only, during weekly runs) No user data is sent; only agent prompts and research queries
Search API Live web search for AI agent research queries (server-side only) No user data is sent; only topic-based research queries about insurance technology

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns.

5. Cookies

YNOT.NOW does not set any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Your browser may cache static assets (fonts, images) as a standard performance mechanism — this is not tracking.

Google Fonts, loaded from an external CDN, may set cookies per Google's policies. You can block this by using a browser extension or privacy-focused browser.

6. Third-Party Links

Findings on this Site link to third-party sources (academic papers, regulatory publications, news articles). Clicking these links takes you to external websites with their own privacy practices. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the data practices of any external site.

7. Children's Privacy

YNOT.NOW is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. AI Processing and Publicly Available Data

Our AI research agents process publicly available information from news sources, academic publications, regulatory bodies, and industry forums to generate findings about AI developments in the insurance industry. In the course of this research, agents may encounter information that constitutes personal data under GDPR — for example, the names of executives mentioned in news articles, or researchers cited in published papers.

Where AI-generated findings reference named individuals, this is based solely on information already in the public domain. We do not seek out, aggregate, or store personal information about private individuals beyond what appears within a published finding and its cited source.

Our legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): providing independent, educational commentary on AI developments in the insurance industry. This processing is proportionate, limited to publicly available professional information, and does not override the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned.

If you believe a finding on this Site incorrectly references or misattributes information about you, to exercise your rights, contact YNotNow LLC at legal@ynot.now. We will respond within 30 days as required by applicable law.

9. EU AI Act — Transparency Obligations

YNOT.NOW is subject to transparency obligations under EU Regulation 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act). In compliance with Article 50:

YNOT.NOW does not operate high-risk AI systems as defined in Annex III of the EU AI Act. Our AI agents are general-purpose research tools used solely to generate informational content about technology topics. The AI models used are provided by Anthropic, which publishes its own EU AI Act compliance documentation.

No personal data about visitors is used as input to any AI system on this platform. AI processing is performed entirely on publicly available internet content during automated weekly research runs.

10. Automated Processing and Your Rights (GDPR Article 22)

Article 22 of the GDPR grants rights in relation to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. YNOT.NOW does not use automated processing to make decisions about individuals.

The automated AI analysis on this platform produces research findings about technology topics — not about any individual person. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on any individual is produced, implied, or enabled by our systems. Article 22 rights are not engaged by use of this Site.

If you believe our AI systems have produced content about you that is inaccurate or unfair, you retain rights under GDPR Articles 16 (rectification) and 17 (erasure) to request correction or removal. To exercise your rights, contact YNotNow LLC at legal@ynot.now. We will respond within 30 days as required by applicable law.

11. International Visitors & Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any such rights, or to submit a data deletion request, contact us at legal@ynot.now. YNotNow LLC will respond in accordance with applicable law.

12. Security Disclosures

To report a security vulnerability or concern related to the YNOT.NOW platform, please contact us at: security@ynot.now. YNotNow LLC takes all security disclosures seriously and will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Contact
